The tractor-trailer leaked fuel onto US Rt. 30 East by Exit: PA 462 - Lincoln Highway, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.

The jackknifing happened around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, dispatchers explained.

No injuries were reported, but a HazMat crew remains on the scene for "spill control," dispatchers said.

Company 63 from the  Lafayette Fire Company assisted Lancaster County HazMat with the cleanup. The fuel came from the tractor-trailer's saddle tanks, the company explained.

The company clarified that the incident happened on a bypass between Route 462 and the East Towne Mall, next to Pep Boys.

All of the eastbound lanes were closed at the exit for Route 462 in East Lampeter Township, according to 511PA. The roadway reopened around 4:30 p.m.
